A Spiritual Abode for Hindus
Deoghar is a spiritual abode, situated in the state of Jharkhand. Although there are many a spiritual destination for the devout Hindus flocking to this pilgrimage, the most popular one is, without a doubt, the Baba Baidyanath Dham, a pilgrimage dedicated to the famous Hindu deity, Lord Shiva. It is also the abode of one of the twelve sacred Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva.
Although millions of devotees and tourists flock this site annually, Baidyanath Dham in Deoghar becomes the most famous during the Shravan month of the Hindu Lunar Calendar, when millions of devotees bring holy water for the Linga in Pitchers called Kanwads, and hence known as Kanwariyas, to perform the holy ritual of Rudrabhishek [The Holy Bath] in this holy month.
Itinerary
Day 1 -Reach Deoghar, preferably by noon and take some rest. In the evening, you can go to the main market for a stroll, where you can buy precious curios and souvenirs, especially the holy memorabilia of the Baidyanath Dham that you can take home for your families. Day 2 -The 2nd day should be the ideal time for starting your trip through Baidyanath Dham, barely 2 km away from the town of Deoghar.Day 3 -This day should ideally be reserved for a rest. However, if you wish to have an insight of the whole town, you can visit the Naulakha Mandir for the start. Thereon, you can proceed for a trekking spree to the Trikuta Parvat, or if you prefer to do some soul searching and religious study, go for Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapeeth.

The food here is dominated by vegetarian dishes. One can also enjoy a number of Bihari snacks available in the area. Other than that you will find instances of the state cuisine such asBamboo shoots, Rugra, Kanda, Mahua, Arsa Roti, Dubhni Rotiand much more.
Jul-Maris the best time to visit Deoghar
The best time for a visit to the holy pilgrimage of Deoghar is in the winters, especially the months from October to March. The summers are unbearably hot, and the monsoons, although lovely and inviting, might dampen your plans if the rainfall is more than normal.

Deoghar in Summer (March - June)
This is the least advisable time for a visit to this destination, with the temperatures going as high as 43 degrees Celcius. The days are unbearably hot and humid, especially if you're visiting in the months of May & June. If you wish to avoid the crowd, then you can plan your visit during this time.
Deoghar in Monsoon (July - September)
Although the monsoon season receives moderate to heavy rainfall, this is not exactly the most advisable season for a visit, owing to torrential downpours, which might ruin your plans.
Deoghar in Winter (October - February)
Beginning from October, the winter season is the most advisable time for a visit to Deoghar. The months from October to February is a nice time for a visit when the climate is pleasant and the ambience lovely. This is also the peak season for travellers.
