Apart from plethora of temples and mosques, this city is also enriched with flora and fauna covered by a layer of dense forest. Famous as 'City of Cotton' owing to the booming trade of cotton, Adilabad is said to have derived its name from Adil Shahi, a medieval Bijapur ruler. Originally known as Edulapuram, this place is for the nature lovers and history buffs.

Named so for its booming cotton trade, Adilabad is a bustling city in the state of Telangana. A glorious witness to the empires of various dynasties, such as Mauryas, Bijapur, Vijayanagara, Nizams etc. Adilabad is bejewelled with remnants of their glorious times. So if you're in the state of Telangana, don't forget to visit this place even once.
One Day Itinerary
Day 1 -Reach Adilabad preferably by noon, and take some rest. In the evening, you can take a stroll on the city side, particularly the handicrafts market, and do some shopping.Day 2 -The next day should be earmarked for a visit to the Kunatala Waterfalls. Thereon, you can proceed to Kawal Wildlife Sanctuary, or if you prefer, take some rest. Day 3 -This day can be reserved for a visit to the Mahatma Gandhi Park, or if you prefer, go for a tour to the beautiful Pochera waterfalls. Basar Saraswati Temple in this town is also another place worth a visit.

Nov-Maris the best time to visit Adilabad
Adilabad is a town which experiences tropical climatic conditions. The summers are pretty hot and humid making it a bit difficult to enjoy the town. Monsoon receives moderate rainfall and thus a reason for dams and reservoirs to overcome the shortage of water. However, winter season, falling between the months of November and March, is very pleasant and mildly cold and recommended as the best time to enjoy the town. Do make sure to carry shawl wraps and jackets in case of extreme winters.
