Yupia Tourism Yupia is the headquarters of Papum Pare district of Arunachal Pradesh and is 20 Km away from the state capitalItanagar. Tribal Abode Yupia is a small town in Arunachal Pradesh. Located 20 km away from Itanagar, this town is famous because of different tribes which have settled here. You get to see a variety in culture and traditions because of the tribal people. The main tribes here are Nishi and Mikir. They justify the term unity and diversity as they live together. The tribes celebrate the festival with great enthusiasm. Yupia is a town whose scenic beauty would enthral you. It has lush green forests, Himalayan ranges which seem as the border to the town and the beautiful deep valleys. It is because of the forests that there are 2-3 national parks nearby Yupia.

It is one of the historical sites here, which was made by Ahom Dynasty. Later you can go and see the Buddhist Temple which was built on the orders of Dalai Lama. This temple has an idol of Lord Buddha. In the evening you can go for boating in Ganga Lake. This boating ride has postcard view as the Lake is situated on the foothills of Himalayas.
