Rani ka Vav Festival Rani ka Vav translates into "the Queen's stepwell". The Rani Ki Vav festival is proposed to be held in the month of December or January every year. The major attractions of the festival are- 1. Exhibition of local arts and craft. 2. Cultural programmes comprising of music and dance. 3. Setting up of the street market. 4. An exquisite food festival The beautiful Patola saris India is known for its rich and ancient heritage in textiles all around the globe. Patola (double Ikat) from Patan glorifies this heritage. It has its origin in a very intricate and difficult technique of tie dyeing and knot dyeing known as "Bandhani". The sari has no reverse side; both the sides have equal intensity and design. It has gorgeous colours, designs and durability and is one of a kind. It mostly starts from 20,000 and goes up to several lakhs depending on the work done and thread used.

Oct-Maris the best time to visit Patan The best time to visit Patan is from October to April. The Rani ka vav festival is held in the month of January and December and is a delightful sight. Weather in Patan Loading... Patan in Summer (March - June) The weather is pleasant until April, but it becomes hot and humid during the months of May, June and July. Still the ancient fortified town does not lose its charm and can be travelled in all these months Patan in Monsoon (July - August) There is less rush during these months. So those who don't like crowd can visit Patan during these months. The weather is hot with light showers, with the temperatures ranging between 28 - 32 degrees Celcius.
