You're in for some running around if you plan to cover the entire city, or at least all the major tourist attractions in a day. Once you arrive at this land of the gods, the first thing to do is leave your baggage and find a place to spend the night. Rooms are available in ISKCON Temple. These clean and basic rooms are the best place to stay. Once your luggage is safely stacked away, you can start with exploring the magnificent ISKCON temple itself. After spending an hour or two here, the next stop is the second most important tourist spot, Shree Chaitanya Saraswat Math. The beautiful temple is bound to take up at least an hour, presuming only an average number of devotees.
If you want a taste of nature too, you can explore the interiors of the city further or travel to the nearby Purbasthali Bird Sanctuary. It is a mere 8 km away and you'll easily find a cab or an auto willing to take you there. Having spent a few hours there and assuming that you are back before 7:00 PM, you can close the day by offering prayers at the Radha Rani Temple - another prime tourist attraction.
