The best time to visit Rahala Falls is between March and October as the water levels of the region are high. Also, most of the snow in the area has melted creating rivulets and exposing the green carpet in the surroundings. A visit in the first half of the day is preferred as it allows ample time to enjoy the waterfall and explore the nearby regions before returning.
How to Reach Rahala Falls
Rahala Falls is located about 16 kilometres away from Manali on the Leh-Manali Highway. Rented taxis are the best modes of public transport to reach the waterfall. Tourists can also drive via the Leh-Manali highway in private/self-driven vehicles from Manali.

1. If trekking, wear decent trekking gear, especially shoes to enable a safe climb up the steep mountain.2. It is always advisable to trek in groups.3. Carry warm clothes as the temperature could get cold as you climb up.4. Keep yourself hydrated.5. Some kiosks offer piping hot local snacks and beverages.6. The only parking space available is on the highway. The road is narrow in itself, so one need to ensure vehicles are parked carefully to allow traffic to pass smoothly.
