Dampa Tiger Reserve
Dampa Tiger Reserve is the largest Wildlife Sanctuary in Mizoram. It is a tropical forest, which is an abode to many endangered wild animals.It houses Tigers, Bisons, Elephants, Bears and an array of avian species like Malabar pied hornbill, Peacock-pheasant, Red jungle fowl, Crested serpent eagle, lizards like Python, King Cobra and Monitor lizard.
One Day Itinerary
Keep a separate day to visit the Dampa Wildlife Sanctuary. You can then visit the various small villages of Saitlaw, West Phaileng, Kanghmun and Pukzing on the next day along with the Lungkulh.

Nov-Maris the best time to visit Mamit
November-March are the best months to visit this place. The climate in Mamit is quite temperate and is not at the extremes. The summers are relatively less hotter than the other parts of the country and the winters are not freezing cold. Though, the district experiences a lot of rainfall during the monsoon.

Mamit in Summer (April - June)
Summers are moderately hot but hotter than other parts of the country. It is not a very good time to visit Baltal as the scorching sun hinders your sightseeing plans.
Mamit in Monsoon (August - October)
The place witnesses heavy rainfall during monsoon. The area becomes prone to landslides. However, if you don't mind the rainfall, you can visit Baltal as the area becomes exquisitely green because of the monsoon showers.
Mamit in Winter (November - March)
Winters are not freezing cold, and you can also enjoy the flowers in full bloom and the scenic beauty in general.
