Itinerary Very often referred to as the sun city of Rajasthan, the blue-walled destination offers vicarious attractions for its visitors. Here's an itinerary to get your around the town: Day 1 After you reach the destination, the first step towards starting your day will be getting to the New Town area which is situated around a magnificent clock tower. The roads around have a lot of traditional merchandise and end towards the Sardar market which is a popular destination for shopping. Next, you can take a cab from the central taxi station to Mehrangarh fort which is approximately an hour from the stand. A major attraction to the city, it offers an amazing cityscape and a walk around the fort walls is an adventurous sport.  End your day with a dinner at Indique Restaurant in Pal Haveli with a mesmerising view of Mehrangarh Fort. Day 2 Have a hearty breakfast of traditional Rajasthani Dal Bati Churma and take a bus from your nearest bus stand to Umaid Bhawan Palace. A 347-roomed palace that is a historic landmark and great spot to take some photographs too. Take a small walk or get a cab to get to your next spot that is Mandore Gardens. It is a green area housing the government museum "Hall of heroes". The best place to visit during the evening is the Kailana Lake where you can end your day with some Kesari ice cream from the carts around. Day 3 Spend your last day in the Rao Jodha Desert Rock Park to make it a little adventurous. Spend your day trekking on the glades of the rocky mountain. There are a couple restaurants around which provide traditional as well as a contemporary menu for delicious suppers around the clock. Take off from the park before sundown and travel to Jaswant Thada which is known for its marble carvings and tranquil environment. Have your dinner in the Rocky Mountain Dhaba in a classic way.

Events in Jodhpur World Sufi Spirit Festival, Mehrangarh Fort 22nd - 23rd February With the backdrop of the imposing Mehrangarh Fort, Jodhpur will host the World Sufi Spirit Festival on 26th & 27th of February 2016. In the face of a world more and more dominated by materialistic values, the only connections that can be felt are through poetry, as proclaimed by the sufi saints.Through music and dance, the Festival aims at promoting this idea. Jodhpur Flamenco And Gypsy Festival, Mehrangarh Fort 3rd - 5th April The festival aims to promote a link between Rajasthani folk music and the legendary gypsy and flamenco dancers, hence propogating a more contemporary view on music and dance. The 2015 line-up had esteemed artists like Chano Dominguez, Daniel Navarro, and Rajasthan Roots. Jodhpur Riff - Rajasthan International Folk Festival 24th - 28th October Coinciding with Sharad Poornima, the brighest full moon night in India, the Jodhpur RIFF hosts a series of spectacular concerts in and around the Mehrangarh Fort.
