The small town of Bhuntar can be visited during any time of the year. However, monsoons observe infrequent rainfalls and landslides. It is better to avoid exploring the town between June to August. Summers are moderate and are the peak season for tourists. The temperature ranges between 10 to 23 degrees Celsius in March-May. Winters, though extremely cold, is also preferred by tourists since the snow-clad peaks look beautiful. The mercury can fall below 5 degrees Celsius.

The Jagannath Temple is located at a distance of 3 Km from Bhuntar, Himachal Pradesh at the height of 5,000 ft. above the sea level. The nearest railway station from Bhuntar is the Pathankot railway station which is well-connected to major cities. The town has an airport named Kullu-Manali airport which connects Bhuntar to cities like Shimla, Chandigarh and Delhi. Buses and private taxis are also easily available from nearby places like Kullu, Manali, Dharamshala and Shimla. Once you are in Bhuntar, trekking is the only option to reach the temple since it is located at a considerable height.
