Bhuntar has a quaint serenity to it and is considerable away from the maddening tourist crowds of the more famous places in Himanchal Pradesh. Surrounded by lush greenery, this town has temples with splendid architecture and high religious significance. It is located at a high altitude, and it wouldn't be an easy tourist destination for old people, or people with medical problems related to breathing. One Day Itinerary One day in Bhuntar is easily manageable if you start the day early in the morning. Head to the Jagannath Temple for a view of the majestic morning there, complete with the ritualistic pooja (prayers) and the early sun dawning on the white expanse. Next, finish the temple journey with the Basheshwar temple, a real marvel set in stone in the silver valley. Once you're done with the temples, you can have early lunch at a nearby dhabha or restaurant. After that, you can head to The Great Himalayan Park for an afternoon of loitering in the sun with binoculars to spot some rare beauties.
