NGMA is not just an art gallery. In addition the numerous exhibits, sculptures, paintings etc., the galleries hosts myriads events to capture the attention of the visitors. Some of which are-

Tour of National Gallery of Modern Art
The ground floor displays works of artisans like Amrit Sher Gil and Raja Ravi Verma. Another section on the same floor houses incredible paintings, photography samples, sculptures and graphic prints. There are exhibits of the remarkable paintings by Rabindranath, Abindranath and Gaganendranath Tagore along with depictions of the Indian rural life through indigenous material.The next hall houses sculptures by S. Dhanpal and Kanayi Kunhiraman and prominent works of Arpita Singh and Anjolie Ela Menon besides the several others.
A flight of stone steps lead upstairs to the incredible exhibitions put out mostly on the works of the Modernist period. The delectable artists featured include M. F. Hussain, V. S. Gaitonde and Mukul Dey.
How to Reach National Gallery Of Modern Art
The art gallery is located on 49 Palace Road. You can choose to take the metro and get down at the nearest MG Road metro station on the purple line. The gallery is around 3.5 kms away from the station; you can either take a local rickshaw or an auto. It can also easily be reached through booking a private taxi- cab. Alternatively, you can choose to travel in one of the public buses.
