The Daria-Bahadurgad Fort, located off the shores of Malpe, is another popular tourist spot that was built by Basavappa Nayaka of Bidanur and is famous for its export of processed fish to foreign countries. The place is also known for its old tile factory and a few other temples that are located here. Spring Zouk Festival Malpe Beach conducts the Spring Zouk festival that showcases some amazing DJs, art, cuisines and culture which works as a major tourist attraction. People get more familiar with the culture and traditions of the place. 30 bands perform at this festival over a period of three days. The name of this festival draws inspiration from the spring season and aims to promote not just international bands and DJs, but the local tribal and folk musicians. It takes places in the month of February.
