May-Octis the best time to visit Sonamarg Sonamarg has a pleasant weather during the Summers. You can also choose the season of monsoon to visit this hill station. It is recommended to avoid going to Sonamarg during the late winters. Due to heavy snowfall, the temperature drops significantly, and the roads get blocked. Weather in Sonamarg Loading... Sonamarg in Summer (April - June) During the summers, the valley is adorned with colourful flowers that bloom everywhere. The weather remains cool with the temperature ranging from 10 to 20 degrees Celcius. You can also find snow in some areas of Sonamarg during the summers. It is the best month for whitewater river rafting in the Indus river of Sonamarg. Sonamarg in Monsoon (July - September) With the onset of Monsoon in July, Sonamarg receives plenty of rainfall. The temperature at the hill station ranges from 2 to 10 degrees Celcius. If you like foggy roads and misty mornings, the monsoon is the season for you. Sonamarg in Winter (October - February) If you want to indulge in winter sports like skiing, you must reach to Sonamarg during the early winters.
