Savandurga Trek Trail
Despite ample of trekking options near Banglore, Savandurga trekking expedition remains the most popular one. Owing to its location, it offers a 700-950 ft trek. The trek is quite easy and can be carried out by the first time trekkers as well. Though Billigudda is every trekker's first preference due to its gentle slopes, trekking enthusiasts can start climbing from either side of the hill. The yellow markings placed along the trail here guide you safely up to the peak. However, these markings are not seen on the Karigudda trail. Moreover, there are quite high chances of lesser acquainted trekkers losing their way on this pathway.
From the foot, the trek uphill isn't time-consuming. The rocky path is just the trailer of the movie you would watch as the steeper area starts. The slopes might not provide a good grip, but as you climb higher, you get hold of the terrain. The higher you move more beautiful view your eyes catch. The surrounding greenery is capable enough for soothing your eyes.
As an hour would pass, you would reach a podium of granite columns. This point is perfect for some cameral rolling. It is a paradise for photography freaks. You can add some great pictures to your roll. Crossing the pedestal, you will come across two trails. One of these pathways leads to a dead end, and the other goes into the forest. On the way, you would come across Lord hanuman's sculpture. Furthermore, the trekking path has rocky caves and four fort walls.
Crossing these areas, you would reach the steepest part of the hill. Here comes the risk, next twenty minutes are a little crucial. You need to be careful. As you reach the top, you are welcomed by the majestic Nandi Tower. Now enjoy the splendid view which the top offers! Being able to witness the scenic vista amidst such tranquil stillness is indeed a memorable treat.
