Oct-Maris the best time to visit Ratnagiri
October to March are the best months for a visit to Ratnagiri. If you are ready to tolerate the heat of the summers, then you might be able to enjoy ultra delicious Alphonso mangoes there.

Ratnagiri in Summer (March - June)
This might not be the best time to visit here. The atmosphere during the daytime is a little scorching but the nights are cool and pleasant. The highest temperature during the summer season goes up to about 38 degrees Celcius.

Diwali, Swayambhu Ganpati Temple
7th November
Apart from the beach and clear waters, the temple of Swayambhu Ganpati is also a major attraction in the town of Ganapatipule. Let the rhythmic beats coming from the temple serve as your morning wake up call while getting away from all the noise and pollution of the city.
Shri Devi Bhagwati Mandir, Navratri
10th - 18th October
The Navrati festival generates a huge turnout at this temple. Situated in the Ratnadurg Fort, you should visit for the calm and serene atmosphere it provides.
Konkan Turtle Festival, Velas Beach
10th March - 15th April
Velas village, famous for the Olive Ridley Festival, holds the Turtle Festival, a unique event for conservationists every year. One of the most happening events for nature lovers, it records the baby turtles as they take their first steps to the open sea.
Water Sports In Ganapatipule
November - May
A small village on the Konkan Coast, Ganapatipule offers vantage points which give you stunning views of the sea. All the major watersports are available at the Gaywadi Beach. Banana boats, jet skiing and water scooters are available mostly during the months of November to May.
