Tips and Tricks 1. Do not rush through the trek, choose to stay over-night and enjoy the various sites that the trek has to offer. 2. Take lots of drinking water with you because it's a very dry area. 3. take warn clothes as it gets very chilly at night. Trek Routes There are multiple routes in this trek to reach the Rajgad Fort like via Nasrapur Phata or The Pali route. Both these routes are relatively easy and straightforward. But the route which comes out as the champion is the Gunjavane village - Padmavati machi route. Inexperienced trekkers shouldn't opt for this route because it requires much more skill and endurance as compared to the other routes. This route takes you through the Chor Darwaja, which was an escape route used by the Shivaji's brigade during attacks. The narrow zigzag paths, misleading walls, mesmerizing scenery and a fort that tells the tales of a long forgotten era all make up for a trek of a lifetime. The Fort is so huge with so many different parts to see that its almost impossible to see everything in a day. If you are making this trip, make sure that you keep enough time in your hands and visit every single site. The machis of Rajgad - Padmavati machi, Sanjivini machi and Suvela machi all offer different but equally awe inspiring view points that should not be missed for the world.
