Best time to visit Valmiki Nagar
The months from February to May and then from September to December are the best time to visit the national park. The area receives a good amount of rainfall at that time. The temperature is moderate around this time. It varies from 8ë? C in winter to 36ë? C in summer.
How to Reach Valmiki Nagar
Air:The Nearest Airport is Gorakhpur, though it does not have many commercial Flights. Patna International Airport is aboutë_275 km from the Valmiki National Park and is well connected by regular flights to most Indian Cities. You will have to take a bus or hire a taxi from here to get to the national park.
Rail:Valmiki Nagar is the nearest railway station.ë_Bettiah Railway Station is about 70km from the Tiger Reserve. Other major Railway Stations in the neighborhood are Muzaffarpur (200km) and Gorakhpur (125 km).
Road:Valmiki Tiger Reserve is well connected by Road to all major cities of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. Buses and cabs are available to travel to this place.

Another option is Hotel Valmiki Viharë_which is a State operated Hotel on the banks of River Gandak in the Valmikinagar. Wooden Rest House is a unique and interesting place to say at. It was used by the King of Bettiah during his trips to the forest. The Himalayan range can be seen from this rest house in winter.
