Teak Land - Nilambur
Nilambur is famous for the oldest teak plantation in the world, called Connolly's Plot. It also houses India's first Teak Museum, which serves as a huge attraction in the town. Not only this, but it holds a world record for world's tallest and the biggest teak tree, which is preserved in Nilambur Teak Preserve. Longest Bridge in Kerala, Hanging Bridge, is also situated here. Adyanpara and Vellamthode Falls add a glowing beauty to the whole town.
It is not only Teak that Nilambur is known for, but also for pottery work that is mastered in a small village, Aruvacode. It is again a great attraction for tourists. The BioResources Park of Nilambur is yet another tourist hotspot and the butterfly park situated close by attracts nature lovers. It is a perfect destination for a getaway from a hectic city life.

Oct-Maris the best time to visit Nilambur
Nilambur experiences, like other cities of Kerala, tropical weather conditions. The summers in the town are quite hot with temperature going up to 43 degrees Celcius. The winters in the area are cool and pleasant and the best time to explore the town. The temperature during the season varies between 19 to 30 degrees Celcius with a cool wind in the evening. Monsoon season receives heavy rainfall and thus not recommended as a time to travel to the region.

Summertime hits from March and ends by May. With temperature ranging from 22 to 35 degrees Celsius, it is the hottest time of the year and is not recommended for visiting Nilambur.
Nilambur in Monsoon (June - November)
Nilambur experiences extensive and heavy rainfall due to its close proximity to the Western Ghats. Monsoon starts from June and lasts up to September. However, it rains heavily even during October and November. Due to this, it may be difficult to travel in the city.
Nilambur in Winter (December - February)
Winters commences from December and lasts till February. It is the most pleasant climate in Nilambur and is the best time to visit the town. Temperatures go as high as 32 degrees Celcius during the day and nights experience sudden temperature drops as low as 16 degrees Celcius.
