The historic town of Narnaul in Mahendergarh district ofHaryanaclaims to be one of the important seats of the Dwapar yuga of Mahabharata.
Claiming a hybrid architectural influences of Mughals, Rajputs, Persians and the British, Narnaul is famous for its many tombs and historical sites that date back to the Mughal and Rajput era, followed by the rule of Prince of Jaipur and Patiala. Also famous as Birbal's birthplace who was one of the Ministers or Navratnas in Akbar's Court, Narnaul is the birthplace of Sher Shah Suri, the Afghan king who shook the foundations of the Mughal dynasty. The famous Ayurvedic blend, Chyavanprasha was first made in Doshi, a sacred hill just 8 km away from this town.

Narnaul in Summer (April - June)
This is the least advisable time to visit Narnaul, owing to the unbearably hot climate, and sometimes humid days, especially during the months of May & June. You can visit Narnaul in summer though, only if you wish to avoid the crowd rush.
Narnaul in Monsoon (July - September)
This is the another good time for a visit to the site, owing to the cool and pleasant climate, although the occasional, though heavy rainfall might ruin your plans. The offseason is the best for budget travellers, who can expect some good discounts and great deals on hotel tariffs.
Narnaul in Winter (October - March)
This is the most advisable time for a trip to Narnaul. The area is pleasant for a visit at this time, with temperatures rarely going below 10 degrees Celcius, although the atmosphere may turn foggy in the months of December & January. It is advisable to carry some light woollen clothes as well.
