Pallivasal Hydro-Electric Plant The Pallivasal Hydro-Electric Plant is located on River Muthisappuzha in Kerala which is the first hydro-electric plant in Kerala that was fully functioning in 1940. The project falls under the Southern hydroelectric region. It has a total installed capacity of 37 MW and is owned and managed by the Kerala State Electricity Board. The plant was renovated in 2002, and currently, the Pallivasal Extension Project is being implemented to completely utilise the available river water.
