1.Bandra Fort- Situated at the end of the road, the fort dates back to 1640 and was built by the Portuguese as a watch tower. The scenic spot has been the shooting set for a number of Bollywood movies.2.Bandra Sea Link- Also known as Rajiv Gandhi Sea Link, the cable stayed picturesque bridge is one of the most popular tourist attractions of the city.3.Mount Mary Church- Also called as Basilica of Our Lady of the Mount, the church stands on a hillock. Besides offering a spectacular view of the adjacent sea, the church also boasts of being one of the oldest in Mumbai.4.Walk of the Stars- A 2 kms long section on the promenade has been dedicated to honouring movie stars. The walk has around a hundred brass plates with signatures and embossings from various celebrities. It once featured six life size statues of prominent actors, which was sadly removed in 2014. Inspired by the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the wall is managed and funded by UTV.
How to Reach Bandstand
The nearest station to Bandstand is Bandra. You can get down at the station and either choose to walk down or hire an auto-rickshaw. You can also travel in one of the state-run buses. Alternatively, you can book taxi cabs from your accommodation for a more comfortable journey.
