As people call it, the yoga village is a perfect getaway from the hectic schedule and enjoy a peaceful time. It is ideal for hikes such as Illaqua, Triund and Idrahar Pass in the Himalayas. It consists of a single road which goes on and on until the very end which consists of a famous cafe known as 'Trek and Dine' to hog out. One can further witness beautiful viewpoints, waterfalls, rocks and some excellent treks.
Best time to visit Dharamkot
Although one can visit the place at any time of the year, it is advisable to go in the months of September to June. The hills are covered in snow during the months of December and January. Also, March to June is the best time to go for trekking and sightseeing.
How to Reach Dharamkot
Dharamkot is situated at a distance of 2 km from Mcleodganj and one takes 35 minutes to reach the place on foot. Auto-rickshaws and buses too are easily available from Mcleodganj to Dharamkot. The nearest railway station is Jalandhar Railway Station.
