Itinerary Day 1 : Manali to Jagatskh to Khanol Distance: 16 kms , Duration: 3 hours Arrive at Manali and make arrangements to drive up to Jagatsukh. Once you have reached there, take some rest and get prepared to get on your foot. Begin the trek along the Jagatsukh nallah and climb upwards into the dense green forest strewn with diverse variety of vegetation. The forest will ultimately lead you to the first destination of the trek, Khanol (2,200 m). From this point, the Manali Valley appears to be far below with mighty mountain of De Tibba occupying the east. Camp here overnight and take good rest amid bounty of nature. Day 2 : Khanol to Chikka Distance: 8 kms , Duration: 4-5 hours Today you will be trekking through a stretch of forest that is steep. The trail goes along a long & wide alpine plateau strewn with wild flowers to lead you at Chikka located at an altitude of 3,350 m. The campsite of Chikka is perched almost at a tree line offering some splendid views and perfect place for rock climbing. Pitch your tents here for night. Day 3 : Chikka to Tenta Distance: 10 kms , Duration: 4-5 hours The third day of the trek takes you to Tenta with trail going along the right bank of Jagatsukh nallah initially to pass through Seri. Once known for its glaciated lake, today Seri is a meadow blessed with rush of colours, plethora of variety of herbs and alpine flowers. As you proceed along the trail, the swift appearance of Deo Tibba (6001 m) will leave you in complete awe. Camp over night at Tenta (4,180 m) and rest for yet another beautiful to come. Day 4 : Tenta to Deo Tibba Base Camp to Chandratal Lake Distance: 8 kms , Duration: 7 hours Today you will be trekking towards the most awaited destination of the trip, Deo Tibba Base and Chandratal Lake. Trudge along the trail to finally arrive at a breath taking Chandratal Lake (4,480 m) with pristine blue water perched right at the base of Deo Tibba. The place, gushing with colours, is a paradise for flora enthusiasts, for it is enriched with myriad of flowers growing almost everywhere. Pitch your tents here for the night amid the lush beauty of wilderness. Day 5 : Chandratal Lake to Tenta to Bhanara As you continue with your trek, today the trail descends down to lead you to the village of Bhanara. Explore the beautiful village and its nearby areas to enjoy the glory of nature bestowed upon the region. The far off view of Shringtingu mountain range is spellbinding. Stay overnight at Bhanara. Day 6 : Bhanara to Manali ItÕs time to depart from the quaint village and descend to the village of Jagatsukh where you will get a chance to visit the local temples and a historical cave ÔArjun GufaÕ. Hire a vehicle here to transfer to the hotel in Manali and thus ending an adventurous trek.
