Carry ample water along with you, as there is only one suitable freshwater source along the entire trek journey.
Accommodation
The school in the village of Dhawale which can be used for accommodation. The villagers of Shelarwadi provide shelter to trekkers as well.
Trek Routes
We can choose to begin the trek either from the village of Dhawale, or from the village of Shelarwadi which lies a 15-20 minutes walk ahead of Dhawale. The initial route passes through the farms of villagers. The route then ascends gradually and comes across a junction between a ridge and a small hill. There are 'Om Namah Shivaya' boards attached to trees at regular intervals from this point onwards, which make the journey easier. Meanwhile, the climb gets steeper before we reach a final rock patch. After successfully climbing the patch, we reach atop the fort. Now, we must reach 'Bhairichi Ghumati' which is a major stopover point between the two destinations. Once we reach Bhairichi, we must take the route climbing uphil. We then need to traverse through a narrow ridge with an exposed valley underneath. This route passes through a dense forest at one point. A small rock patch must be done before Arthur Seat point is reached. The entire journey can be spread suitably over two days as per the requirements of the trekkers. However, a day is sufficient to cover the entire journey.
