Air:The closest airport to the town is Leh which is about 167km from the town. You can get direct planes for Leh from Mumbai and Delhi
Rail:The nearest railway station to the town would be Kathua in Jammu and Kashmir which is located at the distance of 352 km.
Road:To reach by road there are private taxis and cars which are available from the Jammu to get to Nyoma.

Nyoma is best seen on a day tip to Chumathang from Leh. Travel further for another hour to reach the town. Visit the Gompa, spend some idle time amidst the sprawling sceneries and landscapes and head back to the Leh. If you find more time on you, you may vist the nearby towns of Mahe and Rapshu.

The town is located on a high altitude and the minimum temperatures go down to minus. It is important to carry warm clothes to withstand the cold weather. An inner-line permit is required to visit the town. The inner line permit is easily available by writing a letter to the Leh municipal office. It is advisable to carry five to six copies of the permit as they might have to submitted at various checkpoints.
