Suriyanar Koil Temple lies in the east of Kumbakonam on the Kumbakonam - Mayiladuthurai road. Public bus facilities are available from Mayiladuthurai, Aduthurai, Anaikarai and Thirupananthal. You are supposed to get down at Thirumangalakudi Kaliamman bus stop. The temple is further eastwards; it is a 10 minute walk down the road.
