Biodiversity at Sarovaram Bio Park
Sarovaram Bio Park is identified as one of the 27 wetlands of India owing to its rich flora and fauna. The park boasts of 7 mangrove species and 29 associated species. It has 34 types of birds both water and land. Because of the rich ecosystem and diverse flora and fauna, the park is a favourite among the naturalists, bird-watchers and photography buffs. The eleven kilometres long canal at the site connects Korapuzha and Kallayi rivers.
How to Reach Sarovaram Bio Park
The park is located on the Mini Bypass Road, Kottooli, 4 kms from the Kozhikode Railway Station. It can easily be reached in private taxi cabs, auto- rickshaws or state-run buses. Alternatively, you can drive down to the spot.
