Pallipuram Fort:This fort lies amongst the most ancient European monuments in India with a three-storied hexagonal structure. It was repaired between 1596 and 1605 and has a frontage added to it in the Manueline style.

How to Reach Cherai Beach Cherai Beach is located at a distance of 30 km from Kochi and can be easily reached via roadways. Buses can be taken from Kochi-North Paravur-Cherai. The north bus stop is at a distance of about 6 km from Cherai. A ferry too can be taken till the Vypeen Island which is located at a distance of 22 km from Cherai. One can also take a long route from Edappally to North Paravur from where a bus can be taken to reach Cherai which lies at a distance of 25 km.
