3. Cherai Gowreeshwara Temple:This temple is one of the most popular Hindu pilgrimage centres of Cheria where the biggest festival of Eranakulam district is celebrated with sheer joy. The highlighting part of this festival is the elephant march which attracts visitors from the various parts of the world.
4. Azheekkal Sree Varaha Temple:This temple is situated in the Ernakulam district of Cherai and is also known as the first GS temple in Kerala. It consists of all the seven gods of Gowda Saraswat Rahim of Kerala. It is famous for its wooden carving, ceiling work of the Eastern Gopuram, the Silver Pallake and the tank of the temple. The aesthetic beauty of the place is worth praising.
5. Munamam Break
Water Point & beach:This attraction is situated towards the northern end of the Cherai beach and is a beautiful place where the Periyar River meets the Arabian Sea. It is a perfect spot to sit and spend time with your family as well as friends while enjoying the scenic beauty. The sunset sure should not be missed out on.
6. Munamam fishing harbour:This attraction is what attracts millions of tourists every year to buy fish and all other fresh seafood from the fishers at Fisherman's Wharf directly.
7. Pallipuram Church:The foundation of the Pallipuram church was laid down in 1507 and comprises of an image of Mary placed on top of the altar. The cultural life of Cherai would not be complete without the festival at the church which is celebrated for 15 days every year.
8. Pallipuram Fort:This fort lies amongst the most ancient European monuments in India with a three-storied hexagonal structure. It was repaired between 1596 and 1605 and has a frontage added to it in the Manueline style.

How to Reach Cherai Beach
Cherai Beach is located at a distance of 30 km from Kochi and can be easily reached via roadways. Buses can be taken from Kochi-North Paravur-Cherai. The north bus stop is at a distance of about 6 km from Cherai. A ferry too can be taken till the Vypeen Island which is located at a distance of 22 km from Cherai. One can also take a long route from Edappally to North Paravur from where a bus can be taken to reach Cherai which lies at a distance of 25 km.
