One Day Itinerary Begin your day at Kaza with an early morning visit to Ki Monastery with very soothing chanting and hymns followed by a visit to Sakya Tangyud Gompa. Return to hotel for heartwarming breakfast and begin your fascinating journey in Kaza. Drive a short way to Chandratal Lake for some adventure and picture perfect views. From here, head on to Kibber Village the highest village in the town. Break for lunch and continue your trip to either Pin Valley National Park if you are a wildlife fanatic or move on to Dhankar Monastery and Dhankar Lake for a refreshing experience. A nice and warm dinner at the hotel with star gazing is a perfect end to any trip.

Restaurants and Local Food in Kaza Being one of a small town in the nook of Himachal Pradesh, Kaza is quite limited when it comes to food options. However, you can mostly find Indian and Tibetan cuisine in and around the town.The most famous dishes of Kaza consist of fresh peas and potato with gravy. Thukpa is also one of the major dishes which comprise noodle soup with steamed vegetables along with a hot sauce as topping. You can also find momos of different variety at almost every eating joint.Another delicacy of the town is Tibetan bread or roti made from barley or other millet flours is soft and fluffy and is eaten with butter, omelette or jam. May-Sepis the best time to visit Kaza Kaza, known as a cold desert, is freezing during winters with temperature dipping below freezing point. The main entry points, Rohtang Pass and Kunzum Pass, both remain close from October end onwards until June due to heavy snowfall. January is recorded as the coldest month of the year with nail-biting figure averaging to -37 degrees. Considered as one of the coldest places in India, Kaza enjoys a very pleasant weather to laze around or to go adventurous during summers. If you are packing your bags to relish the beauty of Kaza, months from May to October is an ideal season. Do not forget to pack light woollens with temperature in the month of July being averaged as 13 degrees. Weather in Kaza Loading... Kaza in Summer (March - June) This is the best for a visit to this destination, with the temperatures rarely drop below 15 degrees Celcius. The days are hot but pleasant if you're visiting in the months of May & June. This is the best time for trekkers and campers, and hence also becomes the peak season for travelling to Kaza. Kaza in Monsoon (July - September) Although the monsoon season receives moderate to heavy rainfall, this is not exactly the best time to visit Kaza, owing to the frequent downpours and dangerous landslides. Kaza in Winter (October - February) Beginning from October, the winter season is the least advisable time for a visit to Kaza, owing to extremely chilly temperature and inhospitable roads.Only those, who are physically fit and raring to go should take the risk of a trip at this time, otherwise, it is better to avoid a trip to Kaza at this time.
