Mahadevar Temple
Located in the proximity of the waterfall is the Mahadevar Temple. The Mahadevar Kovil located here is one of the twelve 'Sivalayas'. Famous for Kerela's architectural style, this temple was built around the 9th century A.D. This temple houses some old inscriptions, including one of the Pandiya king which can be traced to the 9th century itself. The presiding deity Mahadevar, who is believed to be very calm and pleasant towards his devotees, manifests himself in a fierce form here. Visit this temple for a beautiful spiritual journey.
