Best time to visit Madayipara Madayipara in Pazhayagandi is one of those attractions that is a treat to the traveller, no matter what time of the year. The colour changing the behaviour of this magical land to keep up with the changing seasons is an awe-striking phenomenon that must be witnessed at least once in a lifetime. If you want to see the fields of this hillock draped in myriad shades cool colours and take a picture amidst this breathtaking backdrop, post-monsoon is the right time to visit Madayipara. The monsoons arrive with the break of June and last until the end of September. The fairy godmother comes disguised as rains and spruces up the whole 700 acres with lush, dense greenery. After November, these little plants start flowering, and within no time, the entire field is mostly a giant blanket of white and blue flowers. Truly an astounding sight. Once Autumn starts setting in around February, the field starts changing colour and adopts a blazing red shade. The flowers start withering, and the trees start shedding autumn leaves- but this is just a breathtaking sight as any. The entire hillock is draped in shades of gold and crimson and never fails to amaze the onlooker. The summer starts with the start of April, and the hillock shapeshifts into a land of long golden grass like the ones you see in the movies. The entire field of hay glistens under the sunshine and is indeed a sight for sore eyes.
