Harihareshwar Temple
The renowned Harihareshwar Temple complex comprises of two adjacent compounds. There is a smaller Kaal Bhairav Temple, which is expected to be visited first followed by the main Harihareshwar Temple housing an ancient Shiva Linga. Devotees can also go on the Pradakshina route that goes around the temple along the seashore. Also, it is not advised to opt for this way during high tides for safety purpose.
Best time to visit Harihareshwar Beach
Although the tourist season in Harihareshwar extends from October to May, the best time to visit is from November to February during winters. Kaal Bhairav Jayanti Utsav is also an excellent time to visit the temple, as the visitors can enjoy the fun and frolic along with soaking in the spiritual vibes of the temple. This festival also takes place in October or November.
How to Reach Harihareshwar Beach
Harihareshwar is located about 40 km off the NH17 from Mangaon, which is also the nearest railway station. Only if you are travelling from Mumbai, would you be able to use the train as the mode of transport. However, travelling by road to Harihareshwar would be more convenient.
