Rail:The nearest rail head is Kakdweep railway station which can be reached from Sealdah station on the mainland. From Kakdwip you can easily get a cab or bus fro Harwood point. From harwood point you can take a ferry to Ganga Sagar.
Road:Ganga Sagar island is connected by motorable roads till Harwood Point. From Harwood point you need to take a ferry till Kucheberia and take a connecting bus to Ganga Sagar.
