How to Reach Darjeeling Ropeway
Darjeeling Ropeway or cable car station is located at Singamari, 3 km away from the Chowk Bazaar of Darjeeling. Private cabs or shared jeeps from Chowk Bazaar are available, which take about 15 minutes to reach in the absence of traffic. At North Point on Lebong Cart Road, close to the St. Joseph's college, there is a narrow and steep stairway that leads to the Singamari cable car station.
Tips
1. The Ropeway is closed on the 19th of every month for maintenance operations.2. While the duration of the actual ropeway experience is 45 minutes to an hour, there is a long line of tourists queued up to experience this prime attraction. It is advisable to go earlier in order to minimise waiting time.
