Tour of Coffee Museum The coffee plant growing inside one of the pots with the green berries is a sight which should not be missed. The coffee museum is one such place where pots like these are lined in numbers on either side. Your attention will be taken over by the huge posters on the surrounding walls as soon as you enter the building. The first poster which you will come across is brightly coloured and shows the 'Coffees of India' with each area represented with a motif signifying that particular region. The elevation, primary type of coffee grown, and the rainfall are some other details which are represented on the wall. There is a coffee map of India as well present inside the premises which also shows the details of the particular coffee beans grown in each area. From the map, you can identify the traditional coffee-growing regions to be Kerala and Tamil Nadu while the non-traditional regions being Orissa and Andhra Pradesh. On moving further, you will come to the evaluation centre after witnessing the visuals with the help of a friendly staff member who explains how the coffee beans are evaluated and further graded. This process takes time and is very complicated since it takes place repeatedly after which there is a section where the final product is tasted. On the lower level of the museum is a board with 'Coffe Yatra' written on it which welcomes you inside. This museum, with all its latest technologies, gives you knowledge about coffee like never before and takes you on a journey through the Indian coffee's world. The tourists are likely to get a tour of the history of coffee, the cultural practices and traditions followed to improve the technology and other aspects related to the research and development of coffee as part of the initiative taken by the Coffee Board of India. You will also be given information related to coffee and health along with ecology and sustainability being a part of the study. A coffee movie is also played in which the process along with the perspective of coffee cultivation is shown by real growers. All this makes this museum an interesting place to visit because who knew that one could get so much information solely on a tiny coffee bean!

Best time to visit Coffee Museum The perfect time to visit the Coffee Museum is from September to March since the temperature is moderate and worth enjoying for sightseeing.
