The Gallery of the museum The museum itself is the most prominent attraction in the heritage center's premises. It is spread over an area of 4 acres and is India's first such establishment devoted entirely towards the aeronautical history and science of the country. This one of a kind museum divides its public display into two halls. The first hall has the entire process of development and evolution of aeronautics, aviation and aerospace engineering and everything related to it in detailed charts starting from the 1940s. It includes the museum's Wall of Fame where the significant milestones of HAL in the six decades and the people involved are mentioned. The second hall displays the real, life-size models of old and new aircrafts, aero engines and other parts and their inner workings, some of which are very famous ones like Garret, Adour and Orpheus. The aircrafts models include fighter planes, jets, MIGs, helicopters and so on that have been till date used by the Indian defense. Some of the mentionable displays are the models of the Kiran and the Marut, an antique Canberra bomber and the ill-famous MIG-21. 2. Simulators Other than this, there is basic simulator game to give the visitors a virtual experience in flying and a real motion simulator, which give you the very authentic feeling of flying a jet or a plane. Air Traffic Control Tower Apart from witnessing numerous helicopters and aircraft, you can even feel the working of aviation Industry. This place houses a mock Air Traffic Control Tower, which provides the visitors with an incomparable experience of viewing the landing and take-off of plane insight and thus is an amazing experience for everyone visiting the place. 4. Sustainability Development Park This patch of yet another scientific facts and models educates the public about the various ways we can practice sustainability to save us, nature and the earth. It includes explained mechanisms of how solar energy works, how power is generated from turbines and windmills, why is biogas important and so on. There is also a library stacked with volumes of material related to aero science and history, a souvenir shop, an aeromodelling club, an orchidarium, a herbal garden and a children's play area to keep the tiny tots busy.
