Thirunnelai Temple which is said to be built by Lord Brahma himself and dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The temple comprises of 30 granite pillars which are given a traditional style of architecture. 2. Pakshipathalam is a cave which was said to be used by Gurus and saints in the historical times. It has an altitude of 1740 m and lies on the Kerala side of the Brahmagiri range. 3. Iruppu Falls which originate from the Lakshmana Tirtha River in Karnataka. Legends say that when Lord Rama and Lakshmana were searching for Sita and got thirsty, Lord Lakshmana shot an arrow at a spot on the Brahmagiri Hill from where the Lakshmana Tirtha River began to flow.
